SUMMARY:Poetry Slam in Enzesfeld
DESCRIPTION:What exactly is a poetry slam? A poetry slam is a poetry competition in which self-written texts are performed. The participants not only read the text aloud\, but also “perform” it. They can whisper\, rhyme\, narrate\, rap\, shout or stutter. The event is hosted by experienced poetry slammer and slam champion Mario Tomic. The audience chooses the winner. \nAnyone who brings 2 texts and wants to present them in approx. 5 minutes can take part. To register to take part in the slam\, please contact Johanna Haigl at forum@symposion-lindabrunn.at\, tel. 0676/7455013 or at least half an hour before the start directly at the hospital church. \nMario Tomic\, one of Austria’s best-known slammers\, will host the poetry slam in the Spitalskirche in Enzesfeld. \nSpitalskirche Enzesfeld\nSchloßstrasse 19\, 2551 Enzesfeld/Lindabrunn

SUMMARY:Futurologisches Symposium
DESCRIPTION:With the Lindabrunn Futurological Symposium\, we are taking up the founding idea of the symposium again. \n29. Juni 17:00 : Presentation\nof the works created and further artistic program\n \nA project as part of the Viertelfestival Niederösterreich – Industrieviertel 2019\nFor 14 days\, 5 artists are invited to Lindabrunn to explore forward-looking concepts and ideas of alternative forms of living such as the art format “transbionica”\, the reception format “didactica”\, the “NomadMuseum” or the “CAL-Container-Art-Laboratories”. These art formats have been developed by umraum artcollectiv over the last 20 years especially for the laboratories of experimental art and architecture at Symposion Lindabrunn. \nBuilding on this\, the invited artists will develop new objects and installations for the symposium site. At the end of the two-week residency\, these works will be presented in a final public symposium and will serve as a guide for the next years of the symposium in Lindabrunn. \nThe Symposion Lindabrunn thus once again lives up to its role as an interface between art in the region and the city\, between past and future and as a communication hub. \nThe artists: \nFranz Ablinger \nJudith Fegerl\nJudith Fegerl’s artistic work focuses on the symbolic connection between man and machine\, body and technology\, space and time. In her works\, she uses electricity as an instrument for minimalist drawings. In Judith Fegerl’s works\, electricity is used strikingly both as a metaphysical source of energy and as a prerequisite for the lifestyle of our modern society in order to make energy visible and tangible. \nKarin Frank\nattended the Vienna Graphic Design School and then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She attended Michelangelo Pistoletto’s master class. She further developed her artistic work during scholarship stays abroad. In 2002\, she was awarded the Lower Austrian State Prize for Fine Arts. \nChri Strassegger\nThe photo artist\, who grew up in Gasen\, graduated from the master class for painting at the Ortweinschule in Graz and has been working with land art\, installations\, object art and temporary art interventions in addition to photography for many years. \nChristoph Weber\nstudied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig\, including as a master student of Astrid Klein. He also studied Conceptual Art with Renée Green at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Weber has received numerous scholarships\, including Artist in Residence at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York and Artist in Residence at the Cité des Arts in Paris. Christoph Weber is fascinated by the qualities of “his” material\, concrete\, which he makes use of in his sculptures. \nGünther Friesinger\nBorn in Graz\, Günther Friesinger is an artist\, curator and producer. He teaches cultural management\, production\, social media and exhibition dramaturgy at various universities in Austria\, Germany and Switzerland. In recent years\, he has increasingly focused on future working models\, happiness research and the topic of vacancies. He is a member of the artist group monochrom\, organizer and artistic director of various symposia and art actions\, as well as author and editor of books on contemporary art and philosophy. \nProgram:\nFuturologisches Symposium\n17. – 30. June 2019\n29. June 17:00: of the works created and further artistic program \nA project as part of the Viertelfestival Niederösterreich – Industrieviertel 2019
