Verena Dürr is an author, musician and social worker living in Vienna. She is particularly interested in nature and social issues, which she deals with in the form of dramatic texts, prose or essays. She also produces musical, experimental audio pieces, co-organizes the reading series ‘Musenkpüsse’ and is part of the literary punk band ‘smashed to pieces’. In her solo project venerasinn, Dürr sets her own and related poetry to music in dark lo-fi arrangements.In 2017, she took part in the Bachmann Prize reading competition. Dürr is currently working on her first novel.
